In their production of George Fredric Handel's 'Samson' in 1951, audiences delighted to the sound

of Owen Brannigan, the Geordie lad with the big, big voice. He went on to a highly successful career.

He is heard singing 'O Ruddier Than The Cherry' from Handel's Acis and Galatea.
